Key Responsibilities:
Expert Knowledge & Sales Mastery:
- Learn, understand, and articulate The Ethos Process and the Road to Solar proficiently.
- Explain utility tariffs and cost-benefit economics to customers.
- Master technical aspects of solar power systems, electrification and Ethos’ unique installation methods.
- Ability to learn about additional products and services such as heat pumps, EV chargers, and batteries.
- Follow sales procedures and work with the Sales Coordinator to maximize results and customer experience.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape.
Customer Engagement:
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries.
- Proactively seek new customers and secure contracts through ethical sales practices.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assertively build the pipeline with leads while demonstrating expert knowledge of the industry.
- Connect with local communities to broaden awareness of the benefits of going solar.
- Identify and engage with potential clients through various channels, including cold calls, referrals, events, and online platforms.
- Actively educate and inform potential customers with technical knowledge and clear communication strategies.
Collaboration & Process Adherence:
- Work collaboratively within the Ethos team, seeking input when necessary.
- Adhere to and advance The Ethos Process through open communication and active participation.
- Continuously observe systems, proposing improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and detailed information to Project Managers for the successful execution of solar installations.
- Assist in coordinating site assessments and system designs with the Project Management team.
- Provide feedback to the Marketing and Procurement teams based on client interactions and market insights.
- Regularly report on sales activities, pipeline development, and performance metrics to the Sales Coordinator.
Ethical Practice & Safety:
- Adhere to Ethos’ internal policies and legal regulations.
- Follow Ethos Safety Policy and maintain safe practices at all times.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage client and job information within existing systems and structures (CRM, email, accounting software, etc.).
- Effectively manage personal schedule and time off needs.

- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication abilities, including in-person, over the phone, and electronic.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software such as Google Suite and CRM systems.
- Flexibility & Creativity: Dynamic approach to problem-solving and openness to new ideas; flexible schedule when required to appear at events outside of standard schedule.
- Physical Ability: Capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs and extended periods of desk work.
- Technical Sales Experience: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Benefits
- Base Pay: $50,000 annually.
- Bonus Structure: A 5% bonus on all sales exceeding the annual team target will be distributed among the other Technical Sales Experts. The bonus will be prorated based on each individual’s full-time contribution to the department. For example, an employee who starts 6 months into the sales year would receive 50% of the bonus compared to an employee who has worked the entire year.
