Job Summary

SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry and much more. We design and manufacture complex, high performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. Our production group, technologies, & products are at the heart of aerospace industry and the world’s leading aircraft jet engine & gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Forecasting, planning, procurement, master scheduling, and inventory activities for the assigned channel(s) or area.
  • Utilize MRP & supply planning tools & software.
  • Ensure all materials needed for various production operations are at the correct location exactly when needed- this is a core requirement.
  • Purchase order management to include release, launch, revision, expediting, review.
  • Perform channel demand & volume sales forecasting, daily production master scheduling.
  • Ensure ownership of the master scheduling process is exercised to include factory-wide discipline in execution – maximizing utilization of capacity, staffing, and inventory.
  • Be responsive to factory production issues as well as customer demands to include promise/re-promise orders.
  • Maintain complete current and future awareness of components, stock planning & inventory levels.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or a Manufacturing related field is required, along with 2-4 years’ experience in scheduling and/or materials related experience.
  • In lieu of a 4-year degree, a combination of 3-5 years of experience and an Associates of Science degree at a minimum.
  • Excellent command of various MRP & supply planning tools & software.
  • Knowledge of Infor XA ERP system a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or heavy metal manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficient with computer software & related systems
  • Well-developed written & verbal and communication skills.
