What To Expect
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for Megapack’s Controls & SCADA roadmap and the global commercialization of those offerings. As a member of the Industrial Product team, you will support three segments: Utility, Commercial & Industrial, and Microgrids. The team is responsible for hardware, software, firmware, and services for industrial energy products.
This role requires technical & commercial skills. Experience with software product management or development is required. We are looking for knowledge of electrical/power system engineering, how Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or inverter-based technologies work, are networked, and what are the latest trends in the industry. You also need grit, curiosity that won’t quit, attention to detail, great communication skills and the ability to inspire.
What You’ll Do
Work with world-class engineers and professionals to ensure Megapack’s SCADA & controls offerings meet customer needs and are easy to buy
Define product vision and strategy for SCADA and software controls
Conduct discovery: market research, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback
Prioritize and define features on the roadmap by creating business cases & product requirements
Define and commercialize offerings into standardized solutions that can scale
Develop and drive technical content (manuals, application notes, and marketing collateral) needed by internal and external parties to ensure success of SCADA & controls
Act as primary stakeholder for education of critical product features for internal teams, customers, and supporting parties
Optimize the overall Megapack offering through techno-economic modeling and assessment of product capabilities
Support Sales teams around the world as they contract projects that accelerate the world’s adoption of sustainable energy and by managing controls compliance workstreams required to open new markets

What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
5-7+ years of experience in software product management or similar; experience with controls solutions for energy storage, hybrid power plants or microgrids is highly desired and/or experience with SCADA
Experience with Utilities, IPPs, and large-scale energy developers and their needs for operating assets on the grid

Expected Compensation
$92,000 – $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
