The Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor Position

Sunnova Energy is searching for a Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor responsible for supporting Sunnova Installations while working closely with the Supply Chain and Procurement departments. This position will manage, control, and monitor activities related to inventory management as well as be responsible for the buying and planning for material procurement within Sunnova Installations

Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves all invoices from distributors and confirms pricing is accurate based on negotiated rates, SPA pricing, etc.
  • Tracks and confirms delivery of materials to each job-site and/or warehouse to ensure Installation Crews and Dealer/Installer network have material at the job-site and/or warehouse when necessary
  • Oversees the ordering of materials for the Dealer/Installer network and works to streamline processes to ensure continuity and consistency
  • Responsible for the buying and planning process and aligns with Procurement on the appropriate processes to follow for purchasing the good needed to support Sunnova Installations
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels of emergency stock in all markets where Sunnova Installations operates direct crews
  • Maintains accurate records of assets shipped to installations and tracks all assets to the appropriate system to ensure the CRM has the correct assets for each project
  • Administers and maintains an appropriate and cost-effective replenishment process that supports Sunnova Installation direct crews and ensures balance of system material is available at all times
  • Responsible for the security, cleanliness, and maintenance of the Advanced Technology Center warehouse
  • Submits all expense reports on time for credit card or P-Card purchases and ensures there are receipts for all line items
  • Provides monthly reports to Leadership that shows material spend by crews and works with Leadership to control monthly spend and reduce costs when possible
  • Responsible for finding and shipping products and materials in a timely manner when the Direct Crews or Dealer/Installer network needs product to complete an installation or remediation work order
  • Supports the Supply Chain and Operations team in executing purchase orders as needed to Suppliers, Distributors, and third-party warehouse service provider as needed
  • Addresses any account receivables and account payable reconciliations
  • Assists the Supply Chain Team with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
  • Incorporates best supply chain practices to minimize end of life (EOL), excess, and obsolete (E&O) inventory loss
  • Works with Engineering, Operations and Planning on new material revision cut-ins to minimize EOL and E&O
  • Manages the quarterly Physical Inventory process at multiple satellite facilities and with third party auditors as needed; reconciles all discrepancies, and reports and address discrepancies with the Finance team
  • Ensures all processes meet SOX compliance requirements
  • Develops and implements best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss
  • Maintains updated and accurate records of inventory and transactions
  • Manages and coordinates the activities of all the staff members engaged in buying, inventory control, and inventory record accuracy
  • Leads the Sunnova Installations inventory related teams and provides leadership for training and development of departmental personnel
  • Develops, documents, and implements inventory control procedures and review inventory records

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline
  • 2 – 5+ years of related industry experience
  • 1 – 3+ years’ manager experience with multiple reports
  • 2 – 5+ years’ experience in photovoltaic and energy storage systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales Force and Root Stock experience a plus
  • Finance and Accounting experience

Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel (Detail capability) and Power Point
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Detail oriented

Working Conditions

  • Estimated travel time would be less than 20%
