Solar Sales Appointment Setter Position:

The VES Solar Sales Appointment Setter, is on the frontlines of lead generation and client acquisition in local neighborhoods, educating homeowners on how transitioning to solar energy may benefit them.

As a 1099 independent contractor, the type of person who excels in this role enjoys working independently, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about helping homeowners understand the solar process. This is an entry level role and is a good fit for anyone looking to begin their career in the solar industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Door-to-door lead generation and appointment setting in local communities.
  • Use call, email, text, and other various communication forms to identify the validity and potential of leads.
  • Learn and use CRM and other tools for the job.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators.
  • Communicate with your team on a daily basis.
  • Become a proficient solar professional with an understanding of all aspects of the product.
  • Manage a hybrid work schedule with time divided between knocking in local communities and completing virtual responsibilities.
  • Actively work 5 days a week (25-30 hours minimum per week spent knocking in the field), including Saturdays and one day during the week. The company is off on Sundays.
  • Attend virtual and in-person team meetings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 12pm, noon.
  • Represent Virginia Energy Solutions in an esteemed manner.

Pay:

  • $20/hour + $400 per closed deal (projected yearly between $38,000 and $52,000)
  • Additional incentives for maintaining daily and weekly production goals (up to an additional $10,000 per year)
  • Training Bonus Pay
  • 1099-contractor

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Access to a smartphone
  • Reliable transportation
  • 18+ Eligible to work in the United States
  • 1 year of customer service experience recommended
