About This Role
As a solar installer, you will be part of a team that installs residential rooftop solar systems. Your job responsibilities will include but are not limited to installing rooftop solar systems, ensuring the vehicle(s) are clear of personal items or trash, and maintenance of solar systems when necessary.
Overall Responsibilities
- Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofs
- Assemble solar panels, arrays, and any supporting structures required
- Complete any required repairs in compliance with local, state, and OSHA standards
- Service the solar system as needed
- Contribute a high quality of installation
- Clean and prepare trucks at the end of the day to ensure that the vehicle is ready for the next day’s use
- Occasional work in the warehouse organizing equipment
- Maintain compliance with all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
- Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of construction experience, solar experience preferred
- Ability to work well with others that are on your team
- Comfortable being and working on roofs
- Capability to lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs
- This is a driving required position and you must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for insurability
- Minimum 25% travel required

- Adjusting or moving objects up to 75 pounds
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel, as required, for job-related functions
- Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- While performing duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch repetitively during the shift
- Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like
- Able to engage in repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Comfortable working on the roof or in small, enclosed spaces
- Operate machinery and/or power tools
- Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment when required
- This position is designated as a “safety-sensitive” position. A safety-sensitive position includes tasks and duties that Lumio, in good faith, believes could affect the safety or health of the employee performing the task or others.
