Job Description
The Solar Installer job is primarily installation work with some service and repair. This is seasonal and weather-dependent work, so at times, you will not be working. Solar installations stop when the ground is frozen or soggy, when there is snow on roofs (roof mounts), rain or high winds. Ground conditions affect digging holes, pouring concrete, and getting heavy equipment in and out of sites.
You will be required to obtain a WI Registered Electrician license and maintain the CEUs for that license if you are doing wiring work. Some CEUs may be paid for by the employer. Product-specific training is provided and paid for by the employer. You are required to be able to identify and operate typical hand and power tools.
After two months on the job, pay is increased commensurate with performance. Health benefits also become available.
