What part will you play?

  • GAF Energy is seeking an Installation & Electrical Services Manager who will play an important role in our mission to harvest energy from rooftops and deliver ultimate customer satisfaction.
  • This exciting role will report to the Senior Regional Services Manager, and work within a cross-functional team to ensure the overall success of electrical services.
  • The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with residential solar, EV, or stationary storage and thrive working in a fast-paced environment. With outstanding technical acumen, attention to detail, and strong communication skills you can help us protect what matters most.
  • You will be responsible for and act as a crucial member of the team by interfacing technically between our roofing partners, homeowner customers, the electrician network, project coordinators, and various state and local municipalities.
  • You will provide in-field electrical services, and will troubleshoot systems as well as provide training support to electricians and roofing partners.

What will you be doing?

  • Supervising internal crews and scheduling/supporting external subcontractors to complete field installations of PV electrical systems (Timberline Solar).
  • Managing our qualified electrical service provider network capacity.
  • Coordinating schedules and partner resource utilization to deliver projects on time, ensuring service levels are achieved.
  • Tracking job progress, inspecting and reviewing project documentation.
  • Owning and resolving any technical escalations.
  • Maintaining a working and technically informed relationship with partners, electricians, and AHJs.
  • Overseeing the operations of and project managing electricians in the field to ensure all jobs are completed to meet the highest standards.
  • Troubleshooting, resolving, and upgrading systems to ensure long-term system reliability.
  • Keeping accurate records of material consumption and proper maintenance of PPE and vehicles.

What do we require from you?

  • 2+ years of project management and operations process experience in residential renewable energy services and/or electrical services.
  • 3-5+ years of experience related to general residential electric work, residential solar, EV, or stationary storage.
  • Prior leadership experience with the capability to teach, lead, and coach electricians in hands-on projects and highly technical work.
  • Ability to read, interpret, verify calculations, and correct electrical plans as needed.
  • Technical understanding of codes and requirements
  • Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning systems quickly.
  • Comfort writing scope of work documents, managing sub-contractors, and project documentation.
  • Highly organized, accountable, thorough, and independent contributor.
  • Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with internal and external teams and peers. This includes excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and email.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% time if required.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, preferably with a demonstrated record of safe driving.

Preferred qualifications (not required)

  • OSHA 30 or other related certifications
  • Electrical license holder
