Solar is the fasting growing industry in the United States and helps lessen our dependence upon fossil fuels. As a subcontractor versus a staffing agency CSS can offer long term employment including salaried positions to superintendents and technicians. No experience necessary, apply now! Jobs are throughout Texas and each will last 12 – 18 months. Ability to travel every year to 18 months is a must.

Purpose: Train and educate tomorrows leaders in the solar energy sector. Apprenticeship provides a career path for non-collegiate individuals in search of a long-term career opportunity and path to corporate management.

Responsibilities:

2000 hours of paid on-the-job training.

290 hours of paid classroom and educational training over 2 years.

Graduate as Technician.Qualifications / Requirements:

High School diploma

18 years or older Interest in long term career in the solar industry through the Apprenticeship track.

Current Drivers License Any additional competencies or experience relevant to the Apprenticeship track.

GENERAL ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work outdoors in solar arrays:
• Operate hand tools including, but not limited to: Tape measure, wrenches, hammers, drills, rivet guns, shovels, grinders, and rakes
• Good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to co-workers
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Extended hours of work may occur, with a single shift lasting as long as 12 hours
• Overtime and work on weekends and holidays may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested
