Job Title: Utility-Scale Solar/BESS Commissioning Manager
Location: Full Travel (Primarily Southeast United States)

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utility-Scale Commissioning Manager to lead the commissioning activities for our utility-scale solar and battery storage clients. This role requires extensive travel to various project sites, primarily in the Southeast United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commissioning renewable energy systems and exceptional leadership skills to manage and guide commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the commissioning process for utility-scale solar and battery storage systems.
- Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to verify the proper installation and functionality of systems.
- Use monitoring tools and software to assess system performance and identify potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all commissioning activities.
- Provide training and support to site personnel on new systems and equipment.
- Prepare detailed reports on commissioning activities, test results, and system performance.
- Manage and mentor a team of commissioning engineers and technicians.
- Ensure project timelines are met and address any issues that may arise during the commissioning process.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between various stakeholders involved in the projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commissioning utility-scale solar and/or battery storage systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop and implement commissioning plans and procedures.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at various project locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification or training in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the renewable energy sector.
