Scope of Job
PowerFlex, an EDF Renewables company, is a leading national provider of intelligent onsite energy solutions that support carbon-free electrification and transportation. Our technology was developed at Caltech, deployed with research partners like NASA, proven-out with customers like Netflix and Childrens Hospital, and now scaling to fleets, corporations, and municipalities nationwide.

The Sr. Revenue Analyst will play a crucial role in companys financial operations by analyzing and optimizing the companys revenue streams, providing actionable insights to drive profitability, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payments and managing contracts for the full spectrum of services and assets managed by the Asset Optimization team. This role will involve providing critical insights into revenue forecasting, ensuring financial accuracy, and managing contracts across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy assets. The Sr. Revenue Analyst will collaborate with senior leadership to influence business decisions and strategic direction through detailed revenue reports and audits. Excellent organization skills, meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential to ensuring integrity of teams financial records, enhancing customer satisfaction, and supporting our growth in the renewable energy sector.

Location
This role is open to be a hybrid role out of one of our offices (New York City, NY or San Diego, CA). We will only be able to consider applicants that are local to one of these areas and can come into office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities
60% – Revenue Analysis, Forecasting, and Financial Audits

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue streams from asset optimization services on C&I solar, energy storage, and EV charging projects. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for revenue optimization
  • Lead revenue forecasting efforts, providing actionable projections that influence the companys strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Prepare and present detailed revenue reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and potential risks
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue without compromising customer satisfaction
  • Prepare monthly AR reconciliation, investigating and resolving reconciling differences between the AR sub-ledger and General Ledger
  • Assist with financial audits by providing comprehensive data and insights.
  • Perform ad-hoc revenue-related analyses to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

20% – Customer Engagement and Contracting

  • Collaborate with the legal and sales teams to review new customer contract templates, ensuring compensation and fees provisions align with company and accounting standards.
  • Set up and manage contracts in the accounting system, ensuring seamless onboarding and tracking of new customers.
  • Oversee contract renewals and associated billings, ensuring continuous service delivery and timely invoicing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding past-due accounts, collections, and billing inquiries, providing exceptional support and resolution.

20% – Billing and Invoicing

  • Prepare, issue, and submit invoices for services provided by the Asset Optimization team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
  • Verify that billing data aligns with contract provisions, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.
  • Proactively monitor billing cycles and deadlines, addressing delays to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, business, finance preferred
  • 3-4 years of experience in operations, analytics or accounting roles
  • Experience in field services or time and materials-based service businesses preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred
  • Familiarity with contracts/purchase orders and various billing methods (service/subscription, time and materials)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal team members and customers
  • Excellent in Excel and adaptable to customer or internal software platforms
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • A passion for the renewables industry and a desire to contribute to a more sustainable future!

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $76,725 – $93,775 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex’s comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex’s compensation packages carefully consider a candidate’s qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.

Physical Requirements
Remaining in a seated position. Long hours on computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Working Conditions
Approximately 90% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Adobe etc.), telephones, and general office equipment. Possibly 10% of the time is spent traveling to conferences or meetings or field traveling to project sites.
