JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Quality Engineer at InductEV will be integral in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the development and manufacturing of our wireless charging systems. This role requires a deep understanding of automotive quality standards and tools, with a strong focus on APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, and continuous improvement processes. The Senior Quality Engineer will support assembly manufacturing, manage manufacturing documentation, and act as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to drive quality enhancements and resolve issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the use of APQP, PPAP, IATF 16949, SPC, CI, PFMEA, and control plans to enhance product quality.
  • Oversee and contribute to 8D and RCCA activities to address quality issues effectively.
  • Develop and maintain Control Plans and review Process FMEAs.
  • Serve as the escalation path for clarifying and mediating discussions relative to interpreting quality standards.
  • Maintain and review Visual Aids and perform regular production line walks (GEMBAs) to engage with manufacturing processes actively.
  • Act as the primary owner for Supplier/Contract Manufacturing interactions, including audits (customer, internal), and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Participate in APQP and PLM activities and support continuous improvement through Lean Culture methodologies.
  • Develop, compile, and evaluate quality data; assist in resolving product issues between customers, suppliers, and business development.
  • Document and implement new or revised procedures to improve quality and operational efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge in Quality Management Systems (QMS), including IATF 16949 and familiarity with ISO 9000 and QS 9000 standards.
  • ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, CQT) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply statistical methods to manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in quality inspection, auditing, and testing.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of organizational staff and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, demonstrating a proactive approach in resolving potential issues before they arise.
  • Thorough understanding of AIAG Core Tools: FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA, and PPAP.
  • Auditor qualification VDA 6.3 is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality roles within the automotive electronics industry, focusing on wireless charging systems preferred
  • Software & Power Electronics experience highly desired.
  • Experience in strategy, process and transformation management environments while driving quality culture, tools, and process improvements.
