What we are looking for

Ampd Energy is looking to hire a Senior Compliance Engineer to facilitate and manage all aspects of compliance in accordance with UL, IEC, and other global guidelines for large-scale energy storage systems. This person will be responsible for managing compliance projects for products in development as well as maintaining the compliance of current products.

What you will be doing

  • Act as the companys subject matter expert in the area of compliance for Ampds BESS products against regulatory/statutory and customer-driven requirements.
  • Understand and interpret requirements sufficiently to provide clarity on must-haves vs. nice-to-haves.
  • Drive the process of incorporating compliance in the earliest phases of defining product requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements during the product development process.
  • Serve as Ampds primary compliance contact with energy regulatory agencies and ensure timely and accurate response.
  • Analyze and evaluate compliance deficiencies in existing and upcoming products and provide the necessary support to restore product compliance.

What you need

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing regulatory compliance preferably within an energy organization including UL and IEC Standards.
  • Proven experience with and knowledge of current UL, IEC, NFPA standards, operating policies, procedures, and guidelines for BESSs or microgrids or power electronics for BESSs/solar PV.
  • Strong ability to read and understand product technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, engineering reports, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of Energy Market functions and processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing skills.
