PLEASE NOTE: This position can be filled at either the Account Manager – Renewal (AMR) or Senior Account Manager – Renewal (Senior AMR) level. Please see below for compensation, job details, and requirements

AMR – Expected salary range of $89,100 to $99,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Senior AMR – Expected salary range of $112,500 to $125,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Amr – Primary Purpose Of Position

The Renewal Account Manager is responsible for proactive renewals, post deal support and customer satisfaction of the accounts assigned to them. This role is sales focused and responsible for optimizing margin and customer retention. The Renewal Account Manager should be capable of identifying opportunities to provide proactive customer strategies and value add products.

Senior AMR – PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Senior Renewal Account Manager is responsible for proactive renewals, post deal support and customer satisfaction of the accounts assigned to them. This role is sales focused and responsible for optimizing margin and customer retention. The Senior Renewal Account Manager is a thought leader who can identify opportunities to provide proactive customer strategies and value add products.

Amr – Primary Duties And Accountabilities

  • Responsible for renewals by proactively developing relationships and providing support to increase customer retention. Responsible for house accounts (no BDM alignment) and those customers aligned with their assigned BDMs within their tiers. Communicate and work collaboratively with all teams.
  • Demonstrates proactive behaviors to strengthen customer relationships. Strong ability to connect the dots between the customer and their objectives to form an energy management strategy to meet their needs. Strong understanding of market drivers and impacts on supply and demand and uses this information to identify opportunities.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person as well as written materials. Performs quality and timely proactive customer calls and learns to read queues from customers to adjust strategic content. Understands and can clearly communicate value proposition of most products and components.
  • Strong understanding of systems/processes as well products/services to ensure a best in class customer experience.
  • Responsible for proactive expansion of customers by adding accounts or executing on referrals. Drive diverse products by cross selling: alternate commodity, EMO/MVPe, Charge Point, EME, Managed Products, Biogas, etc.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
  • In-person attendance for trainings, team meetings, and other moments that matter.

Senior AMR – PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for customer renewals by proactively developing relationships and providing support to increase customer retention. Responsible for assigned house accounts and customers aligned with Business Development Managers. Communicate and work collaboratively with all teams.
  • Demonstrates mastery in proactive behaviors to strengthen customer relationships. Expert ability to connect the dots between the customer and their objectives to form an energy management strategy to meet their needs. Advanced understanding of market fundamentals. Leverage to identify opportunities.
  • Responsible for proactive expansion of customers by adding accounts or executing on referrals. Drive diverse products by up selling Electric, Carbon Offsets, Renewable Natural Gas and Sustainability Solutions. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in person as well as written materials. Performs quality and timely proactive customer calls and read customers to adjust strategic content. Understands and clearly communicate value proposition of all products and services.
  • Expert level understanding of systems and processes as well products and services to ensure a best in class customer experience.
  • Act as a trainer, coach and mentor to less senior Renewal Account Managers as they work to develop their sales, product and customer positioning skills.
  • Takes part in efforts to improve the customer experience and processes across the Retail organization.
  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs.
  • In-person attendance for trainings, team meetings, and other moments that matter.

Amr – Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • 5+ years of sales or sales support experience
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with employees and customers
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal customers
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information always

Senior AMR – MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • 8+ years of sales or sales support experience
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with employees and customers
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent decision-making
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with internal customers
  • Flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information always

Senior AMR – PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
