Piper Maddox have engaged with a utility scale renewable energy firm in the US to help build out their RNG team. The RNG arm of the business have had over $1bn investment to help deliver on projects which will bring us closer to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050. They have millions of customers in the US who rely on them for their electricity and natural gas.

This position entails leading efforts to ensure the effective growth, operation, and oversight of a selection of renewable natural gas ventures. Additionally, it involves assessing and backing potential opportunities for natural gas infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will collaborate closely with the site management team, partners, vendors, and various internal departments (such as legal, energy marketing, engineering, accounting, regulatory compliance, tax, project construction, and environmental) to optimize project profitability while prioritizing safety, ethics, and compliance.
• They offer valuable insights and contribute to due diligence efforts for gas-related acquisitions, as well as provide transaction support for potential asset divestitures.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Project Management.
• Previous experience in contract negotiation, forming partnerships, project financing, and budget development is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in all facets of renewable natural gas projects is required.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and energy markets is necessary, with preference given to those with specific natural gas-related knowledge, though it is not mandatory.
• Ability to conduct project risk assessments and comprehend pro forma and project metrics is essential.
• Basic understanding of pertinent engineering theories and principles is expected.
• Proficiency in managing contracted staff is required.

Travel is required to their facilities, they have a huge presence in the mid west.
