Here is how the Reservoir Engineer role will impact our business:
The Reservoir Engineer positions main goals are to realize the full value potential of our upstream assets by having a great understanding of the reservoir and asset performance. This role will supplement the Reservoir Engineering team to evolve our well design by building and maintaining engineering tools, insights, and dashboards to support the well design optimization, science planning and lookbacks, technology testing and implementation and performance tracking and peer benchmarking.
The Reservoir Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Science and Technology: Supporting reservoir planning and analysis of our science program to evolve our well designs.
- Assist in analyzing science tests and lookbacks using solid, unconventional reservoir engineering principles. Ensures performance and analysis results are documented and communicated in a timely manner for all teams involved.
- Support EQT innovation and technology testing program, by tracking technology implementation and its evolution through our idea hopper to execution.
- Provide asset reservoir engineering support on A&D opportunities and various corporate requests.
- Insight support and Maintenance: Delivering impactful insights that drive our processes and lead to informed decisions and valuable actions. These insights guide us on action showcasing performance, well analysis, science lookbacks, and generate and track performance metrics for management KPIs.
- Peer Analysis: Evaluate our peers and non-op partners to feed the evolution of our science program, technology adoption and benchmark our well design performance.
- Collaborate with our finance group and operational teams to develop economic analysis of past, current, and planned operations at both well and asset levels
- Able to execute reservoir engineering projects independently, with minimal supervision and technician support
Required Experience and Skills:
- At least 4+ years of related experience in Oil and Gas engineering roles, specific to reservoir engineering in unconventional plays.
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering
- Strong coding experience in R/ RStudio Workbench, Python, Azure Data Studio, SQL, Spotfire, Power BI, Alteryx
- Must love technology, science, and innovation. Always on the hunt for new tech to evolve the way we work
- Solid asset reservoir engineering experience & a complete understanding of unconventional petroleum engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of basic engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory
- Ability to think analytically and solve basic problems
Remote work is being considered for this role.
