As a Senior Analyst in Acquisitions, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to combat the climate crisis through strategic investments. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of renewable energy portfolios to identify acquisition opportunities, utilizing discounted cash flow models and risk assessments.
- Collaborate closely with the business development team to engage with project developers and sellers.
- Support deal managers throughout the acquisition process, including preparation for seller engagements, portfolio model updates, and coordinated efforts with third-party advisors.
- Assist the investment team in revenue research and the development of optimization strategies.
- Contribute to the capital markets team by creating marketing materials and providing insights for tax equity and debt financing operations.
- Participate in special projects across various business verticals as required.
Required Skills
- 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy acquisitions and funding, or a related discipline (internships and co-op experiences are considered).
- High proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, including the creation and modification of financial statement models and valuations such as LBO/DCF.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating intricate transactions involving multiple stakeholders.
- (Preferred but not required) Familiarity with asset due diligence processes and ensuring accuracy in financial model assumptions.
- (Preferred but not required) Understanding of tax equity’s significance in renewable energy investments, particularly in solar and battery storage contexts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven interpersonal skills to adeptly manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
