Lead quality engineers to support production lines in Megafactory Lathrop site and build a network across Nevada and New York factories to leverage good practices and continuous improvementLead of quality improvement initiatives across suppliers, design, manufacturing, service and field qualityOwn Megapack Product Quality during its entire lifecycle, by implementing and sustaining Advanced Product Quality Planning practices, driving continuous improvement in field quality, production yield and supply chain of fabricated and purchased componentsEstablish and meet clear quality metrics and objectives for Megafactory site and Energy businessDrive professional problem solving to root cause and correct failures in production and the fieldMaster and nurture a data driven team with advanced statistical, analysis and visualization skillsSupport a 24×7 global business with the needed sense of urgency to protect Tesla customers and business, while enabling work-life balance, commitment, and fun at workDevelop and motivate a high performing team of exceptional engineers, supervisors and technicians to be proud to take place in Tesla’s mission to transition the world towards sustainable energySustain compliancy and certification for quality management and required product standards. What You’ll Bring
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials or Industrial Engineering5+ years of experience of Quality leadership in manufacturing and/or designing new products for high volume operations. Experience with electric grid infra structure equipment manufacturing preferredProven track record to build and lead a strong team in a 24×7 manufacturing environmentDemonstrated knowledge of and experience in Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Analysis, APQP and SixSigma tools and methodologiesDemonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in highly dynamic production environmentAble to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesAbility to resolve quality issues with urgency on a 24×7 production environment, which require flexibility when the need arises. Remain engaged, proactive, and positive in tough circumstancesDependable leader and professional problem solver that seek solutions rather than only pointing problemsDetail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills. Expected Compensation
$86,400 – $232,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
