Job Functions (Essential)

  • LEAN Implementation & Strategy: Develop and execute LEAN strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Lead and facilitate LEAN workshops, training sessions, and Kaizen events to engage employees in continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze current production processes and identify areas for improvement using LEAN tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis. Design and implement process changes and improvements to optimize workflow, reduce cycle times, and increase productivity.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze production data to track progress and measure the effectiveness of LEAN initiatives. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, improvement outcomes, and operational performance to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment of LEAN projects with overall business objectives. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to address production challenges and drive collaborative solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach team members on LEAN principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Provide leadership and support to production teams in the implementation of LEAN processes and best practices.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all LEAN activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment and support initiatives to enhance workplace safety.
  • Communication: Facilitate the communication to stakeholders on schedules, meetings, progress, and pending issues, on a regular basis.
  • Project Manager: Serve as Project Manager for designated process improvement projects as assigned by Management and report on workloads, issues, and pending problems.
  • Reports: Submit progress reports that detail project progress in terms of time schedule and budget performance.
  • Promote a compliance culture: In area of responsibility live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
  • Perform special projects as required

Qualifications:

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering, and 3 years of Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience or 7 years of Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience.
  • Proven experience in a LEAN management role within a production environment, with a track record of successful LEAN project implementation. Strong knowledge of LEAN methodologies and tools, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others especially on the shop floor.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of design of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to support production or project work.
  • Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Project Management certification

Daily work is performed in an office and general manufacturing environment. This position has a work schedule that requires four (4) ten (10) hour days during a Monday through Thursday work schedule, as business requires. Overtime work, more than 40 hours is expected also as business requires to manage test and final process.
While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly requested to sit, and regularly requested to activate a keyboard or mouse within the work environment.
