This entry working position will be located at a specified field location and is responsible for direct management of Power Delivery and Lighting Services inventory located at the warehouse. This position will work under the direction of a MPC SCM Operations Manager. This position is responsible for developing and managing the approach for inventory management, warehousing, logistics and asset disposition associated with SCM operations. This position will partner with Power Delivery, Lighting Services and Division Management to develop and maintain a strategy that supports customers and Supply Chain Management goals associated with inventory, planning, emergency material and storm restoration. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation, Safety, OSHA Laws, FERC, DOT, EPA, and company policies and procedures in SCM operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • College Degree a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Project Management Skills
  • Class A CDL (Commercial Driver License) permit 6 months of employment, and a Class A CDL license within 1 year of employment required.
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Identify, locate and order stock and non-stock materials for each department by using material inventory system
  • Generate documents associated with storeroom transactions and maintain files in accordance with guidelines
  • Training or experience in accounting practices as they relate to warehouse operations
  • Some knowledge of inventory control processes and all aspects of storeroom operations
  • Managing the accuracy and accountability of commodities in inventory
  • Assuring that all stock and non-stock materials are properly entered in the material inventory system
  • Responsible for performing analyst functions for all material at specified locations
  • Building and maintaining excellent business relationships with Power Delivery, Lighting Services, suppliers and other key customers
  • Managing all Hazardous Materials within the storeroom to assure safety and regulatory compliance
  • Performing physical inventories of material located at the storeroom
  • Assuring compliance and accountability of Procurement Cards
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office computer products
  • Some knowledge and experience with power delivery processes, materials, and equipment
