Job Summary

Develops and implements projects, programs and strategic initiatives that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Procurement and have a direct and significant impact on the attainment of supply savings and operational efficiencies. Responsibilities include the development and oversight of Procurement project management best practices and their implementation; reviews and approves strategic business and project plans; oversees the development and execution of ongoing Procurement projects and strategic initiatives. Oversees and supports the Procurement strategic technology plan, in conjunction with the Procurement leadership team and the PSEG IT organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drives and oversees Procurements overall Technology Plan. This includes, but is not limited to: interfacing with IT organization regarding Procurement functionality within SAP, managing all 3rd party Procurement e-Procurement platforms (including e-RFX, Spend Management Tools, Supplier Risk/ Registration applications, etc.), providing recommendations to the Procurement Leadership team on future technology needs and maintaining the overall Procurement Technology Plan.
  • Drives and oversees the development and implementation of short and long term strategic initiatives designed promote and maintain process efficiencies. Manages the performance of multiple project teams through assigned Project Managers with both direct and indirect leadership responsibilities. Provides leadership to the Project Managers in establishing strategic plans. Leads organizational focus on, and attainment of business goals and objectives in support of key internal client business needs.
