ABOUT THE ROLE
Loader Operator needed for Holcim US Aggregate Industries, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has an immediate opening for a Loader Operator to support production operations at our Royse City Terminal. The position will primarily operate a straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor-type vehicle equipped with a front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket or scoop to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals and turns the steering wheel to operate a loader. Moves lever to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader forward to force bucket into the bulk material. Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives the vehicle to the work site, and moves levers to dump material.
  • Perform assignments outlined by supervisors and follow standard procedures in performing duties. Work is inspected periodically for safety and economy while operating. Performs routine maintenance on the loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
  • Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors and customers serviced.
  • Works closely with Rail and Plants
  • Other duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • REQUIRED: 12 months of loader operator experience with CAT 982.
  • REQUIRED: Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction, or paving.
  • REQUIRED: Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and skills.
  • REQUIRED: Proven safety record.
  • REQUIRED: Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • REQUIRED: High School / GED
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus. #CB1

  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment (“PPE”), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees who are required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
