We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Key Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with our strategic customers in the cruise segment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the cruise industry, exceptional sales acumen, and the ability to deliver customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This location will be based in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key strategic customers in the cruise segment.
- Establish and maintain relationship with all levels of client’s organization, from C-level to operational levels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all account management matters.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure client satisfaction.
- Identify new business opportunities within the cruise segment and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams, including the team responsible for shipyards to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth on Newbuilds and Lifecycle.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions that address their specific challenges and goals, mainly focusing on safety and operational efficiency improvements, and decarbonization.
- Present products and services to existing and prospective clients, showcasing the value and benefits.
- Coordinate with internal Business Lines and teams (e.g., Product Management, FS&WS, Engineering, Performance Services, Business Support…) to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions, and outstanding customer experience within the whole value chain.
- Monitor account performance, analyze sales data, and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve long-term growth and profitability.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities for the cruise segment.
- Provide input on product development and marketing strategies to better serve the cruise industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the cruise industry or a related sector.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the cruise industry, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic plans effectively.
- Exceptional presentation skills
- Strong team player
- Self-disciplined and self-starter profile, with proactive behavior.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
