General Foreman

Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to lead and oversee the construction of large-scale solar project. As the General Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of solar installations, managing construction crews, and coordinating activities to meet project timelines and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar project construction, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all construction activities on large-scale solar projects.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budget constraints.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Supervise and manage construction crews, subcontractors, and other personnel on-site.
• Provide direction and guidance to ensure work is executed efficiently and meets quality standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training for construction crews.
• Monitor construction processes to ensure high-quality installations.
• Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications.
• Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality standards.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
• Manage inventory and ensure availability of necessary resources.
• Optimize logistics to minimize downtime and delays in construction activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications in solar installation and project management.
• Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as OSHA 30, OSHA 510 is desirable.
• Proven experience in leadership role in utility- scale solar project construction.
• Prior experience managing construction crews and subcontractors.
• In-depth knowledge of solar installation processes, equipment, and technologies.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
• Prior experience managing construction crews and subcontractors.
