Role Overview:
We seek an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead and manage their electrical design team. This role is crucial for ensuring technical excellence and successful execution of our solar and energy storage projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep engineering knowledge, and a track record of managing projects within budget and timeline constraints.
Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of electrical designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of electrical design for solar and battery storage projects, ensuring adherence to codes, standards, and safety regulations.

Budget & Timeline Management: Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules; manage risks and ensure successful project execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations, and procurement teams to achieve project goals.

Technological Advancements: Stay updated on the latest in solar and battery storage technologies.

Business Development: Provide technical expertise for proposals and support in defining project scopes and deliverables.

Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance and control for electrical designs; implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Training & Support: Provide training and technical support across the company; travel as needed for design reviews and site visits.
Qualifications:

Experience: 8+ years in electrical design with a focus on renewable energy projects, including solar PV and battery storage.

Leadership: Proven experience leading and motivating design teams, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Expertise: Familiarity with electrical construction techniques, low and medium-voltage systems, and NEC/NESC standards.

Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office; ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts, make sound judgments, and balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.
