Job Summary

Manage the implementation of SKF Automated Lubrication Systems (ALS) sales and marketing programs for Industrial and Mobile markets in the assigned territory: Texas, Louisiana & Mississippi.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Achieve continual sales growth for SKF lubrication products in target market segments within the assigned territory through our Value-Added Reseller (VAR) network or direct channel.
  • Participate in the growth of SKF’s total business as a member of the ALS NAM staff, driving the implementation of regional strategies while coordinating efforts with SKF resources globally.
  • Develop and execute business plans and marketing programs for Industrial and Mobile equipment markets.
  • Strong focus on growing and maintaining an accurate sales funnel.
  • Identify and manage key projects and opportunities with target accounts, making regular joint sales calls and supporting activities with VAR’s and other key partners.
  • Select, qualify, and “manage” the VAR network and direct channels to maximize business performance and territory coverage.
  • Continuously train and strategize to develop and grow our VAR channel to ensure their activities are aligned to SKF’s objectives, growth initiatives and territory goals.
  • Develop direct knowledge of key market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Update Internal CRM tools which documents activities at the customer.
  • Work internally to ensure customer’s orders can be fulfilled to their expectation.

Job Requirements/Experience

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent related experience with Business/Marketing emphasis.
  • Knowledge of industrial or mobile equipment markets, selling strategies, and sales techniques.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of customer interfacing managing distribution with a value-added product line.
  • Travel Required: 50-75% (depending on home office location within Texas).
  • Experience in developing sales pipeline within automatic lubrication systems or industrial lubrication related tools is considered an asset.
  • Industrial automation, Fluid Power, preventive maintenance, or condition monitoring experience. (Preferred but not required.)
  • Must be competitive and exhibit motivation to build a pipeline of new business opportunities while staying focused on closing existing opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation proficiency.
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently, unsupervised, and work from a primary home office location and company office on a as needed basis.
  • Experience in building rapport with Distributor’s and End Users.
  • Able to make critical decisions in a fast paced, high-energy environment.
