I am currently recruiting for 4 Origination and Power Marketing Roles. The development pipelines for each of these IPPs range from 2GW to 20GW and team sizes vary from 10 employees to 1500.
We’re looking for both Originators and Power Marketers and I’ve summarized the scope of responsibilities below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute the company’s strategy for power off-take in individual projects, focusing on maximizing revenue and establishing viable structures.
- Seek out off-take opportunities through strategic outreach and in-depth market analysis of pricing trends in various ISO and non-ISO markets.
- Serve as the internal resource on power products, actively identifying leads through networking and direct outreach.
- Foster and maintain relationships with clients in the renewable energy sector, pursuing RFP opportunities and developing bilateral PPAs beyond formal channels.
- Provide guidance on the appropriate off-take structures for projects, such as physical and virtual PPAs, capacity contracts, and tolling agreements.
- Prepare mature projects for off-take opportunities by negotiating contracts and overseeing the transaction process from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with the financial modeling team to evaluate off-take transactions and aid in responding to RFPs.
- Partner with consultants to perform market analyses regarding pricing, congestion, and basis risks.
- Work closely with development, legal, finance, and technical teams to coordinate and finalize off-take proposals for RFP submissions.
- Conduct thorough market research to pinpoint potential markets, customers, and competitors to inform entry strategies.
- Assist in due diligence for project acquisitions by assessing off-take viability and contributing pricing data for financial models.
