Job Title: Director, Regulatory Affairs (Renewable Energy)

Location: Remote, US

Travel: up to 50%

About the Role:

The Director of Regulatory Affairs will oversee and track developments across various Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs) and Independent System Operators (ISOs), such as CAISO, ERCOT, SPP, PJM, and MISO. This role involves active participation in stakeholder processes, coordination with industry groups, and collaboration with internal teams to address regulatory impacts on business operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and engage in stakeholder processes for CAISO, ERCOT, SPP, PJM, and MISO.
  • Track relevant FERC and state regulatory activities that influence RTO/ISO outcomes.
  • Communicate key regulatory changes to internal teams to ensure business alignment.
  • Manage external consultant relationships and represent the company in industry trade groups.
  • Formulate and implement strategies to address regulatory challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare comments on regulatory matters affecting RTO/ISO policies.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working with CAISO, SPP, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, or FERC processes.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate RTO/ISO rule changes and assess their business impact.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, engineering, policy, or business.
