Director of O&M | Community Solar | Remote – East Coast | $180-220k base w/ 25% bonus

Responsibilities:

This hire will be the most senior hire within the O&M team. In collaboration with the CEO and Asset Management Team – you will be building out this division from the ground-up. The Director of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) will oversee the strategic management and operational efficiency of the company’s solar energy assets. This role is pivotal in ensuring that solar facilities are maintained at optimal performance levels, meeting all regulatory requirements and quality standards. The Director will lead a team of O&M professionals, coordinate with other departments, and drive initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of solar installations.

Essential Skills/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Facilities Management, or related,
• 5-7+ years in operations and maintenance management, the majority being within solar energy,
• Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems, electrical infrastructure, and renewable energy technologies,
• Experience in managing budgets, teams, and contractors,
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills,
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety requirements in the renewable energy sector,
• Proficiency in relevant software and monitoring systems,
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
