Development Manager (Renewable Energy)

Our client is seeking a skilled development professional to support their efforts in becoming a transformational leader in the development and ownership of clean energy infrastructure. The Development Manager (Renewable Energy) will oversee a team of development associates and analysts in developing solar and wind projects.

Our client is an independent power producer with the expertise and financial resources to develop, own, manage, and trade products from their portfolio of renewable and energy storage assets. Their mission is to accelerate the shift toward a sustainable energy future through their development efforts.

Description

The Development Manager (Renewable Energy) will be responsible for:

• Take responsibility for project success by driving project development and value creation
• Own the execution of the project development strategy in the market
• Direct market-wide activities, emphasizing budget management and project profitability
• Lead and/or manage due diligence on projects, sites, and counter-parties for acquisition projects
• Analyze and interpret regulations, policy changes, program economics, input prices, and other data by market to provide input to the company’s business plan and development strategy
• Help guide a small team to enable regional success and solve project-specific challenges

Profile

The Development Manager (Renewable Energy) will have

• 2-4 years of experience in project development with emphasis on utility scale wind
• Experience with at least 2 technologies (wind experience is a plus)
• Experience in early stage development of wind projects: greenfielding, lease negotiations, interconnection, and permitting
• Familiar with taking projects from conception through to NTP
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, environment or a related field

Job Offer

The Development Manager (Renewable Energy) will be eligible for

$120,000 – $160,000 base salary
