The Electric Transmission – System Protection Engineering Data Communications team is seeking a hard-working, motivated, candidate to join our team. The successful candidate will manage and complete substation SCADA projects, utilize Software Defined Networking (SDN) for the implementation of IEC61850 / IEEE6180 standards, develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) graphics for monitoring and troubleshooting, evaluate new communication devices, research new communication technologies and strategies, and implement the latest cyber security best practices. This is an exciting time to join our team as we are growing to meet the challenge of industry-leading projects and initiatives like interconnecting 5000 MW of solar generation in the next 5 years, the first utility-owned offshore wind project in United States federal waters off the Atlantic coast, STATCOMS, IEC-61850, the largest data center load growth in the world, and Net-Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050.

Engineer I: 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience
Engineer II: 3+ years of relevant engineering experience
Engineer III: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
Engineering Technical Specialist I: 0-2 years of relevant experience and competencies in applicable discipline.
Engineering Technical Specialist II: 3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline.
Engineering Technical Specialist III: 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated competencies in applicable discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Though not required, extra consideration will be taken with candidates who possess any of the following skillsets:
Knowledge of IT systems and/or networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP, UDP, IP, Firewalls/Routers/Switches, Fiber Optics, Windows, Linux, Remote Desktop, Telnet, SSH, FTP).
Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering minimum.
