Location: Texas

Employment Type: Both salaried and contract-based employment may be considered, with employment arrangement and structure commensurate with industry and opportunity.

Salary: $102K-$107K

Job Description

This position will be located in various locations around Texas.

As a Community Engagement Coordinator/Project Developer, your primary responsibilities will involve establishing the projects with the local communities, staying informed of local issues, serve as point of contact for the project, staff local project offices, coordinate meetings, attend and speak at local meetings and events, keep project team informed, and garner and foster overall support for the projects.

We are specifically seeking a candidate who lives in the Dallas or Houston, TX area. This position is not eligible for per diem but job-related expenses will be reimbursed.

Job Duties:

Stay Informed: Keep our team updated on key local issues that could impact our project, such as regulatory changes, competitor activities, and community sentiment.

Coordinate Meetings: Arrange and facilitate meetings with landowners, local leaders, and other stakeholders to foster support and address concerns.

Serve as Point of Contact: Act as the primary local contact for the project, representing us in a public capacity and providing contact information for inquiries.

Office Staffing: Identify, maintain, and staff the local project office for designated hours each week, serving as a resource for community members.

Foster Support: Cultivate support for the project among local leaders, neighbors, and the wider community through proactive engagement and relationship-building efforts.

Attend and Speak: Represent the project at local meetings and events, occasionally speaking on our behalf to advocate for project objectives.

Schedule Coordination: Manage scheduling and coordination of meetings for the project team, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration.

Staff office for set hours each week.

Participating in project calls to stay informed and contribute to discussions.

Accompany senior team members to local meetings and presentations to provide a local perspective and presence.

Field inquiries about the project and collaborate with the team to develop appropriate responses.

Attend local meetings of significance to gather information and network with stakeholders.

Represent the project at chamber and economic development organization meetings as a designated team representative.

Daily Tasks:

Help to establish and operate a local office near the storage field.

Staff the local office.

Identify and recommend sponsorship and donation opportunities to support community initiatives.

To be successful in the Community Engagement Coordinator/Project Developer role, you will need the following qualifications:

Bachelors degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years experience in a community engagement role

Minimum 2 years experience in working on the development phases of renewable projects.

Strong understanding of local community dynamics

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Experience in community engagement, public relations, or related fields is preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

50% Travel Required

Local to the Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston area

Pay: $102,000.00 – $107,000.00 per year
