We are seeking a Civil QA/QC professional to oversee the civil aspects of quality assurance and quality control for our utility-scale photovoltaic solar projects, from the construction phase through to final turnover to Operations. Responsibilities:
- Ensure everyone follows Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules, including external contractors.
- Handle daily tasks to maintain and apply the quality plan.
- Track and fix any issues with the quality plan.
- Create quality reports and manage quality control documents.
- Make sure the quality plan is being followed.
- Conduct quality inspections for construction using the Vyn Digital System.
- Check that contractors provide the required documents according to the contract.
- Handle any quality problems, find solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Schedule and attend meetings about quality issues.
- Share important quality control documents with the site contractor.
- Check that the contractor’s work is accurate.
- Ensure all site activities meet the necessary codes and standards.
- Review materials specifications with the Construction and Procurement departments.
- Collaborate with the owner’s engineer to review design drawings and prioritize critical areas.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure project quality, coordinating with third-party engineers.
- Organize and manage all project documentation, both internally and for external parties.
- Help develop internal policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide civil work expertise and advice.
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate Associates Degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or equivalent.
- Must have 5 years of professional experience in PV field QA/QC and construction QA/QC.
- Must be familiar with photovoltaic solar design and technical standards.
- Knowledge of civil work and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) requirements.
- Experience managing all nonconformities, identify a resolution, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Working experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CPM scheduling and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of energy storage is a plus.
