Essential Responsibilities :
The Electrification Software CIO develops and owns the IT strategy, budget and portfolio for Electrification Software including evolving the vision and mission of the IT organization, collaborating with Electrification Software leaders to achieve business priorities and fostering a culture of engagement and growth.
- Proactively advise Electrification Software leaders on the emerging technologies and digital trends that are most relevant to the company’s goals and evolving needs
- Evangelize new opportunities possible with technology investment; challenge status quo and drive data/digital disruption
- Partner with business leaders to select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits
- Simplify total cost of IT to achieve world class standards
- Utilize lean methodologies to tie investments to the business value drivers and success metrics
Ruthlessly prioritize requests across the business; facilitate discussions across the leadership team to generate buy-in for large program decisions
- Provide guidance to business stakeholders; act as a resource for various teams, providing input on enterprise software and ensuring focus on product quality and customer needs
- Partner with Corporate to improve end user Net Promoter Scores
- Increase Electrification Softwares ownership of the experience simplify personas served; implement rigorous testing and change management before deploying changes to users
- Drive continual improvement on end user imaging; drive towards a defect-free, positive user experience where things that should work, just work.
- Continue the transition from Project to Product
- Continue driving the team towards Agile-Lean methodologies, driving high adoption of DevOps tools (QA automation and CI/CD), and basic ITIL practices
- Identify and reduce shadow IT; simplify application count to industry benchmarks; provide a clean data-driven view of business activities
- Ensure a smooth implementation of a singular ERP (Oracle Fusion Cloud)
- Influence & facilitate program definition to transition to Salesforce suite
- Influence the business to see data as an asset versus maintenance tasks
- Drive the transition to service-oriented organization that values self-service methodologies
- Implement privacy and compliance by design into continuous delivery
- Develop career paths and grow global talent pipeline
- Managed in/outsource mix to increase quality and continuity of products
- Prioritize employee engagement, foster a growth mindset by seeking opportunities for employees to develop skills aligned with their interests, strengths and needs of the business
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- A minimum 15 years of professional experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of time
Desired Characteristics:
- A minimum of 3 years work experience as a CIO partnering with a business unit
- Expert in providing oversight, mentoring team members and leading global teams
- Deep understanding of the Software industry
- Demonstrated success developing and leading global teams in a matrixed organization structure
- Proven track record of improving team engagement
- Thought leadership, comfortable with market and technology trends, uncertainty
- Experience using Lean to eliminate waste in IT processes
- Ability to build deep trust with stakeholders
- Technical acumen to interface with technologies, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that business or industry can understand
- Strong demonstrated oral presentation and written communication skills
