Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
Performs assignments that require professional judgment and knowledge of purchase orders, service contracts and other miscellaneous duties as necessary to support internal stakeholders. Responsible for conducting tactical procurement activities (bid, evaluate, and prepare procurement documents) for the acquisition of goods or services in accordance with Calpines procurement policies, standard practices, sound business and ethical practices. Provides assistance in analyzing vendor costs and industry market trends, lead times, performs market analysis and identifies, selects and qualifies suppliers for the supply of spare parts and consumable goods. Assists with vendor strategic alliance teams to identify and implement process improvements to gain better pricing and service from suppliers.
