Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Client Development Associate, Supply Chain Renewables Initiative in Renewable Energy and Carbon Advisory. Preferred locations are: Boulder/Denver, CO, Louisville, KY, or Chicago, IL.
The Supply Chain Renewables Initiative (SCRI) Client Development Associate (CDA) joins a team of experienced sales professionals, becoming a crucial part of the North American Renewable Energy and Carbon Advisory (RECA) team and tasked with supporting sales and operations colleagues working in Supply Chain Renewables Initiative. The CDA will be responsible for enhancing our outreach and engagement capabilities and building relationships with suppliers in SCRI programs to support them with taking action to reduce emissions. Becoming a corporate sustainability expert through training and development activities, the CDA is expected to build business expertise and sales acumen to drive supplier adoption of European RECA and broader Schneiders Sustainability Business services.

What will you do?
- Act as the initial point of contact for SCRI suppliers, supporting sales and program managers with business develop activities including but not limited to targeted outreach, prospect identification, client communication, CRM database maintenance, monitoring and managing Supplier RFIs, and other miscellaneous tasks.
- In collaboration with CDMs and Business Growth team, identify prospects that match the profile of Schneider Electrics RECA solutions and coordinate to schedule prospect meetings with CDMs
- Shadow CDMs on the full consultative sales cycle to gain deeper knowledge of services and support the SCRI sales process including cohort forming
- Collaborate with other teams (Marketing, Operations, Salesforce Admin) to develop and manage internal organizational processes to track supplier candidacy and engagement as well as external resources on relevant opportunities for suppliers (e.g. Supplier Journey Resource), ensuring transparent reporting and goal tracking
- Attend events where appropriate, e.g., support program sponsors supplier days and conferences, join relevant US-based events on Supply Chain/Scope 3
- Quickly establish fundamental skill/role requirements to perform as a true hunter, with a proven ability to generate and follow up on leads by engaging suppliers and creating interest in Schneiders offerings.
- Future role expectations are to build relationships with suppliers by hosting onboarding calls and qualifying for different Renewable Energy and Carbon Advisory and wider Sustainability Business services
Communicate and interact with business decision-makers at all levels to identify SCRI needs and requirements as well as market opportunities

Qualifications:
- This position is ideal for someone seeking to break into sales, who has been successful in a related industry and/or position, and who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to grow into a top performer with Schneider Electric Sustainability Business RECA division.
- Work related experience in energy, sustainability, ESG strategy, reporting and communication is highly valued (you understand the macro corporate sustainability and renewable energy trends)
- Self-starter; able to comprehend client demands quickly and match Schneider Electric solutions, and to support the sales teams to align the two to ensure sales performance at or above assigned levels.
- Demonstrated experience with the sales process for professional services and consulting solutions
- Experience with Supply Chains and/or Supplier programs would be beneficial.
- Prior experience working with complex sales cycles (up to 6 months) is advantageous.
- Computer literate in a Microsoft Office environment (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and with CRM systems (particularly Salesforce) and LinkedIn
The U.S. compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $65,000- $100,000 for candidates located within the U.S. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
