The Opportunity…
We are seeking a full-time AmeriCorps SolarCorps Workforce Development Fellow to engage with the workforce team to support GRID’s workforce development initiatives. Members are trained and supervised by GRID’s regional workforce development leads to provide employability skills and job opportunities in solar. Members will recruit and provide employment readiness skills training and job placement support to un- and underemployed individuals from underserved communities. Members will facilitate job training and placement support in the renewable energy field. As these partners gain education and experience, the members also gain skills in professional relationship building, facilitation, logistics, and program management that will be transferable within the renewable energy, education, and nonprofit industries.
