The City of Pasadena Water & Power Department is looking for a Legislative and Government Affairs Analyst to review, analyze, monitor, and comment on proposed federal, state, and local legislation and regulations that may impact the City and/or department. IDEAL CANDIDATE The Legislative and Government Affairs Analyst independently performs very responsible, sensitive, and complex analytical work in support of the Water & Power department's External Affairs initiatives, and activities. Work requires strong critical thinking skills and interpersonal competencies in carrying out internal legislative and regulatory affairs activities and in representing the city or department in interactions with state and federal legislators and their staff and members of industry groups and coalitions involved in legislative and regulatory advocacy. The incumbent for this position should be politically savvy and be a driven self-starter.
