The Product Sales Specialist’s goal is to build the Ferris Commercial Products brand awareness by demonstrating Ferris Commercial Zero Turn Mowers, Walk Behind Mower, Stand On Mowers and Spreader Spraying equipment to Landscapers, Municipalities, School Districts and Parks & Recreation Departments in assigned area. You would also support local Ferris Power Equipment dealers and internal Ferris team members.
This position is remote and must be based in territory - which includes: New York, Connecticut, and western Massachusetts.
You will do this by:
- Quickly become a Ferris product subject matter expert, being proficient in explaining features and benefits of Ferris products and performing demonstrations to the end users.
- Generate leads through various sites including Instagram & Facebook generating interest with landscapers and developing conversations that result in a demonstration.
- Drive a pickup truck and landscape trailer with Ferris equipment to the locations that the end user agrees to and let the customer experience the Ferris product first hand by using it on familiar turf.
- Work directly with our Ferris dealers and develop a relationship with them to gain territory knowledge and competitive industry insights. Assisting your Ferris dealers with sales & open house events.
- Participate in various external events, i.e trade shows and fairs to support the Ferris brand and products.
- Conduct training at the Ferris dealerships teaching new employees features & benefits of the Ferris products as well as company programs, process and procedures.
- Analyze market data to pinpoint opportunities in assigned territory to maximize prospecting efforts and develop strategies on how Ferris performs against the competition.
- Attend the National Sales Meeting in Milwaukee at the Briggs & Stratton Headquarters annually to meet and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Attend regional meetings in various company locations when required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field OR equivalent education and experience
- Minimum one year of related experience in sales, customer service, retail or related field
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to become DOT certified upon hire
- Able to safely load, secure, and operate a variety of company trailers on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping industry
- Social media savvy

NY State Compensation:
- Salary: For this position, the expected base annual salary range is 50,000 to 65,000 per year USD commensurate with experience. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
