Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in
expanding our market share within the energy storage and renewable energy industry in the USA. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies in the energy industry, particularly in the energy storage segment. A background in large corporations and an understanding of regulatory frameworks is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to expand our market share within the energy storage and renewable energy industry in the Germany.
2. Identify potential clients and partnerships to drive revenue growth and build sustainable
relationships with them.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers at utilities, government agencies, and other organizations.
4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present compelling proposals and pitches to prospective clients.
5. Conduct market research, analyze trends, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
6. Participate in industry events and conferences to network and raise the company's profile within the energy storage and renewable energy industry.
7. Manage the sales pipeline, including forecasting and reporting on progress towards revenue targets.
8. Work closely with the executive team to develop and implement pricing strategies that
maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field;
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record of successful revenue growth in the energy industry.Experience working in the energy storage industry with a focus on battery technologies and applications in various market segments.
3. Strong knowledge of the energy storage and renewable energy technologies and an
understanding of the regulatory framework in the Germany.
4. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced,entrepreneurial
environment.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform business decisions.
8. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
