 Job Summary Statement:
 
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the highly automated solar module manufacturing plant. They are responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and systems to minimize downtime and optimize production output.
 
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and systems.</li>
<li>Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment, including scheduling and conducting routine maintenance tasks.</li>
<li>Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve equipment failures and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize production interruptions.</li>
<li>Drive LEAN manufacturing knowledge and capabilities within Maintenance organization</li>
<li>Plan and prioritize maintenance activities based on production schedules, equipment availability, and criticality of systems.</li>
<li>Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule equipment downtime for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.</li>
<li>Oversee the procurement of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities, ensuring adequate inventory levels and cost-effectiveness.</li>
<li>Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance technicians on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory usage.</li>
<li>Lead the collection and analysis of equipment performance data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement and driving improvements in OEE.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards in all maintenance activities, including implementation of predictive Safety methodologies.</li>
<li>Participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.</li>
<li>Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and support.</li>
<li>TPM development and implementation</li>
<li>Use of data analytics such as MTBF and MTTR for determining equipment health</li>
<li>Development a maintenance strategy to support a 24/7/365 operation to include PM, PdM, CBM, RM </li>
<li>Develop the maintenance management system. Prior experience with SAP will be an asset </li>
<li>Setup and manage VMI, OMR spares</li>
<li>Monitor and control the maintenance GL accounts</li>
<li>Participate in periodic maintenance reports, budget, reviews and forecasts</li>
<li>Participate in Capex projects identification and implementation</li>
</ul>
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>7+ years of experience in maintenance leadership roles within a highly automated manufacturing environment, preferably in the solar energy industry.</li>
<li>Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in manufacturing equipment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with predictive and preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting techniques.</li>
<li>Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.</li>
<li>Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.</li>
<li>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to addressing maintenance challenges.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety, and confined space entry.</li>
<li>Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order management and asset tracking.</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.</li>
</ul>
