Role profile:
Cloud Product Owner is a key role within Cloud Services team, having responsibilities to define and own the Product Lifecycle for Cloud Products on Azure Platform.
Reports to: Head of Cloud Engineering
Main focus of this role is to enable the development teams to use standard Cloud Services and via CI/CD pipelines while facilitating migration of applications into public cloud based on Azure Platform
Optimise Cloud First Strategy by providing re-usable patterns, templates, and scripts to enhance best practice adoption and reduce the cost of migration.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, maintain, drive implementation, and socialize the Cloud products Roadmap.
- Define the Cloud Product framework (CPF) and drive consumption of Azure Services through CPF.
- Contribute the definition of Standards & Policies and ensure compliance for all Products within CPF portfolio.
- Lead delivery of Azure Services associated with Cloud Products & support migration of applications to Azure tenants.
- Provide Technical expertise in Azure computing and operations in resolving engineering, coding, and security & architecture issues. Participate in tools Proof of Concept (POCs) and provide final analysis and recommendations
- Contribute to creating educational materials and conducting training and mentoring sessions on Cloud Products & Services.
Role is responsible for delivery of the following:
- Cloud Product designs, standards, and best practices for Azure Platform
- Design, socialization, maintenance, and reporting on the Azure Cloud Product Roadmap
- Definition, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of Cloud Product in support of all phases of PDLC+ (Product Development Life Cycle) on Azure Platform
- Define Service Catalogue and provision Cloud Products within the framework
- Run definition and build of standardised baseline patterns, templates, and scripts to facilitate IAC (Infrastructure as Code) and CI/CD orchestration.
- Definition of both high-level and detailed standards as to what optimum looks like and demos/prototypes that can facilitate easy understanding and adoption.
- Contribute and maintain a pattern library which includes standard solutions for common requirements, ensuring application teams become self-sufficient and that solutions for specific problems are only required to be solved once.
- Work in an Enterprise organisation and connect with senior members of Dev, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams as needed.
Requirements - Hands-on experience in the following:
- Azure Platform Architecture and Configuration including infrastructure, networking, storage, virtual machines, and variety of Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, etc.), as well as Azure DevOps
- Azure Architect and Administrator Certifications highly desirable
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including data analysis, trending, data-driven decisions
- Practice of Agile Methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, etc
- Understanding and usage of Terraform Cloud Capabilities (or similar IaC Toolset) including multi-cloud deployment
Compensation/Benefits Information:
LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $117,400.00 - $218,000.00.
Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/bonus plan). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
