We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and passionate Account Manager to join our Sales team. This role reports to the Head of Sales.
Location: United States - South/East (remote job)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the professional business communications and on-going cross-functional interaction with clients in the South and East, taking ownership of the client experience and meeting client expectations.
- Be viewed as a trusted advisor by senior decision makers at various client-facing levels.
- Maintain a base of existing accounts, carry out regular account reviews, and build a long-term plan for retention and growth.
- Anticipate, understand, and respond to the competitive challenges and marketplace issues impacting the client’s business.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business within existing accounts through product, market, and portfolio expansion.
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying new potential customers, negotiating, and closing new deals.
- Create and deliver sales and product presentations and proposals.
- Play a key role in deepening our relationships with partners and clients alike.
- Own and understand the complete sales funnel, from lead acquisition to close.
- Work as a liaison between the sales team, customers, and other departments at Biome Makers.
Job competencies & Personal attributes:
- 5+ years minimum of direct sales experience
- 3+ years Experienced in the AgTech sector (Experience in Ag Retail is a must)
- In-depth knowledge of US agriculture market (particularly in the South and East), main players and crops
- Strong communication skills, skilled at communicating complex technologies
- Strong proactivity and problem-solving capabilities
- High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business
- Excellent planning and time management skills
