We are seeking an experienced assistant superintendent for an upcoming airport addition job in Savannah, GA!

The Assistant Superintendent’s role is to assist the Superintendent and Project Manager with the overall field management of the project as well as Stand as the Project Superintendent when the Project Superintendent is not on site. Emphasis on overall project coordination of work, coordination between trades, safety, quality control, coordinate deliveries / laydown areas, police & facilitate project cleanliness, keep up as-built documents and assist / coordinate inspections. Take lead in schedule updates as well as short term look-ahead schedules. Direct iugis Field Engineer and coordinate with Project Engineers as required. Take lead in project closeout and training.

Education

Position Requirements:

  • B.S. in Construction Management or related engineering discipline or equivalent work experience in commercial construction.
  • Required Software Proficiency: Office Suite, MS Project, Procore
  • Procore certification is part of hiring orientation/training
  • 30-Hr OSHA training
  • NPDES Blue Card

Experience

  • 1-3 years’ experience as an Assistant Superintendent on projects $10M or higher

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide input related to constructability.
  • Assist with permit process.
  • Meet with and review project with local inspectors.
  • Assist Superintendent with developing overall Master Construction Schedule and near-term scheduling
  • Execute and maintain site utilization plan.
  • Organize site to promote maximum productivity.
  • Conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractor foremen.
  • Maintain and communicate quality control program.
  • Constant creation and completion of deficiencies lists
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor Safety meetings.
  • Submit time sheets and expense reports as required by Superintendent
  • Maintain a daily log.
  • Constant enforcement of iugis and subcontractors’ site-specific safety plans
  • Train Foremen and hourly personnel.
  • Review contract documents in detail; ensure compliance in the field
  • Daily photos
  • Direct, supervise and manage jobsite cleanliness.
  • Obtain and direct the timely completion of punch list work.

Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000 based on experience
