Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in C&I or Community solar project development.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and managing solar PV projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of solar energy technologies, electrical systems, and interconnection requirements.
- Experience with solar energy modeling software (e.g., PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope).
- Must have experience designing projects from a civil and/or electrical perspective.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with project management software or similar systems.
- Experience with permitting and interconnection processes for C&I or Community solar projects.
- Knowledge of local and national renewable energy policies and incentives.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including landowners, developers, utilities, and government agencies.
- Valid driver’s license.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential C&I or Community solar project sites.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and develop project proposals.
- Design and engineer solar PV systems, including single-line and 3-line electrical diagrams.
- Perform energy modeling and financial analysis for project viability.
- Manage project budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction) and external partners (utilities, contractors).
- Prepare and submit permitting applications for C&I or Community solar projects.
- Support project construction and commissioning activities.
- Ensure project documentation is accurate and complete.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the solar industry.
