Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Human Resources Coordinator at International Papers Franklin Mill will be responsible for providing daily HR support to all mill employees. This individual will engage in variety of HR activities such as: recruitment and selection, compliance, labor/employee relations, FMLA, and employee benefits. The mill has approximately 330 employees and produces approximately 350,000 tons of fluff pulp per year.
The Job You Will Perform:
  • Leading the hourly hiring process; which includes coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, facilitating testing, scheduling interviews, partnering with the facility nurse to schedule drug screens and physicals, administering background checks, and coordinating internal new hire information to applicants.
  • Maintains the Affirmative Action Planning system, including maintaining annual logs for internal job postings, hires, terminations, separations, and promotions; completion of the annual AAP. Assisting with local outreach relationships. Ensure the facility maintains full compliance with all aspects required of a federal contractor.
  • Acts as the Compliance Champion for all HR related postings throughout the mill.
  • Creating/updating all hourly and salaried employment record profiles related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating in SAP to download to Workbrain.
  • Manages employee profiles in Workbrain in regards to pay and schedule changes.
  • Maintains timely accuracy and security of all HR-related files in accordance with the records retention policy including employee personnel files, recruitment files, etc.
  • Manages the leave of absence database, tracks all cases, facilitates requests for information, and liaisons with employees and Sedgwick.
  • Assists in the orientation of new employees on HR policies, benefits, schedules, and other preparation as appropriate.
  • Working knowledge of all benefits for hourly and salaried employees. Assists with open enrollment meetings. Serves as a resource to employees in resolving benefits-related issues and concerns.
  • Assists the HR Manager and HR Business Partners with any employment relations issues.
  • Completes the monthly headcount reporting and ensures headcount information is updated in a timely fashion.
  • Processes all unemployment-related claims.
  • Assists in organizing presentation materials, coordinating meeting and catering arrangements.
The Skills You Will Bring:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Organization Behavior (preferred)
  • Minimum of three years administrative human resources experience or equivalent education.
  • Prior work experience in a union, multi-shift manufacturing environment preferred.
  • A high level of diplomacy, tact, and judgment as well as an upbeat and positive attitude.
  • Ability to surface issues and handle sensitive and confidential information in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Superior organizational skills with a high quality of accuracy and attention to detail in both written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, work and be flexible with deadlines, solve problems effectively, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to be proactive and self-directed while working professionally in a team environment to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP and Workbrain strongly desired. Demonstrates high level of proficiency in Microsoft Windows environment with an emphasis on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Demonstrates ability to learn new software programs or databases quickly.
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data from multiple sources in Excel (maintain spreadsheets, utilize v-lookups, pivot tables, etc), ensure data accuracy, and summarize the data in a concise manner.
