is hiring a Warehouse Manager located at our South Point, OH facility. IE is a leading provider of custom engineered and manufactured process and electrical systems for Data Centers, Renewable Energy. Municipal Systers and more. IEs turnkey products are generally mobile – mounted on skids or in portable e-houses. Our products integrate portable power/generators, substations, electrical control rooms (MCCs/VFDs/switchgear), water-flood/disposal buildings, compressor skids, metering equipment, mining power skids, LACT units, and other products.

Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, receipt of inbound material in a timely fashion, arranging shipping of outbound projects, and buying stock parts. They are further responsible for managing and making personnel decisions for all warehouse employees and associates. They perform analysis and determine appropriate inventory levels and turns to ensure the most efficient use of company resources.

Warehouse

  • Manage the warehouse organization, in all major facets including accurate labeling, maintenance and cleanliness, and stocking levels.
  • Confers with appropriate team leads and project managers to ensure coordination of shipping/receiving warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, records control, and purchasing.
  • Assist warehouse staff where needed with day-to-day operations including, but not limited to:
    • Ensure outbound packing slips are accurate and accompany all finished products.
    • Track, monitor and maintain point of use inventory on shop floor; records the number of materials or items received or distributed.
    • Use safe forklift operations to move or hoist shipments from shipping/receiving area to storage area
    • Assemble/stage job carts for manufacturing and rebuild making sure:
    • Boxes are organized and prepared to meet production schedule.
    • Are accurate, containing all the required parts.
    • BOM for jobs are signed off at the distribution of job carts.
  • Manage the performance of cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure the timely completion of all job cart returns either to vendors or back to stock. Make appropriate decisions in the return process to either inventory, return, or scrap parts with IEs best financial interests in mind.
  • Analyze long-term carrying cost and inventory turns to make financial decisions regarding appropriate stock levels.
  • Ultimate responsibility for warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Shipping/Receiving

  • Responsible for ensuring the team receives all materials in IE facility for inventory and/or job orders.
  • Problem-solves issues with shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records; Works with buyers and project managers to resolve issues arising from inaccuracies.
  • Works and negotiates with vendors on RMAs or damaged material to receive replacement parts or refunds in a timely manner to ensure the on-time delivery of floor projects.
  • Responsible for shipping all IE out-bound freight and materials; prepare documents and all material to be shipped by packing, wrapping, and assuring that material is protected for transport; prepare and record shipping data, such as weight, charges, shipping orders, bills of lading, damages and discrepancies.
  • File, track, and resolve damaged freight claims to resolution.
  • Responsible for part transfers from different IE facilities.

Team Management

  • Responsible for the overall productivity of the warehouse team
  • Make personnel decisions including, hiring, firing, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all responsibilities in the warehouse and train team members to effectively fulfill their role.
  • Seek ways to improve efficiency while maximizing accuracy by fully utilizing available resources and actively seeking to improve team performance.
  • Promote a team environment by exhibiting a positive and helpful attitude with team members while working towards shared team goals.

Tools and Equipment

  • Safe use of overhead cranes, forklifts hoists, to assist in moving, unloading, and loading material.
  • Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored at the end of each shift.

Other Essential Duties

  • Maintains regular and consistent job attendance.
  • Maintains a safe working environment established by Intermountain Electronics, safety guidelines.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license at all times and meet conditions of IE driving policy.

Experience and Skills:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain logistics or a related field, plus five years of experience in shipping/receiving/warehouse operations or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • In-depth knowledge of IE organization and operations, shipping/receiving practices, and procedures
  • Good understanding and knowledge of products used in the manufacturing of electrical distribution equipment.
  • Lift Up To 50 Lbs., Push/Pull Up To 100 Lbs.
  • Must be able to read English, count accurately, do simple math, and write English legibly
  • Must be able to safely operate Company forklifts
  • Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, dependable and able to fulfill obligations.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and MS Outlook, EPICOR and other specialized purchasing applications.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of internal employees, customers and vendors.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Ability to identify work priorities and function with very little supervision.
  • Must be team player and self-motivated
