Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and dependable estimator who has at least a years experience working on renewable energy projects to join a new team at a successful and growing company who offer a range of services in wind, solar, battery, communication/fiber, testing/monitoring, and services. Reporting directly into the Director of Solar Estimation, you will have an exciting an pivotal role of growing this new team, with the support of company leadership and senior colleagues.
This role can be remote, or based out of offices in Texas, Montana or Nevada.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead Estimate Development: Manage estimates from inception to completion, creating achievable plans and consolidating components for internal reviews.

Quality Assurance: Review estimates for accuracy and incorporate lessons learned.

Proposal Strategy: Collaborate with Proposal Management and joint venture partners to enhance proposal effectiveness.

Scope Evaluation: Review design/RFP criteria for completeness, coordinating with projects for additional estimating bases as needed.

Cost Analysis: Support supply chain evaluations, lead contingency analyses, and prepare indirect cost estimates and cash flow models.

Risk Assessment: Identify and assign risk levels, proposing mitigation strategies.

Productivity Evaluation: Analyze crew craft productivity to develop probable construction costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
- Minimum 2 years in Estimating or Project Controls, with ideally a year in solar or wind estimation.
- Strong experience with HCSS HeavyBid preferred; familiarity with civil/electrical indirect estimates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven track record with Lump Sum Design estimates and crew/equipment-based estimating.
- Experience in contingency/risk assessment and understanding of cost indices.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
