Job Description

Position Overview:

Intelletec Energy are hiring for an experienced Engineering and Project Manager to oversee and direct project management activities for utility solar and energy storage projects in the North East. The company is a lean and successful developer and operator of utility scale solar and storage projects.

This role is remote, but ideally the successful candidate will be based in the North East or Texas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Engineering Teams: Manage a team of engineers to design and implement solar and energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership in electrical engineering, including system design, integration, and performance analysis.
  • Origination and Development: Collaborate with business development teams to assess project feasibility and support the origination of new solar and storage opportunities.
  • Operations Support: Work closely with operations teams to optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring ongoing reliability and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects meet regulatory and permitting requirements, staying informed about industry standards and local regulations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, presenting technical information and project updates clearly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, project management, and/or operations within the solar and energy storage sectors.
  • Proven track record in project origination, development, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of electrical system design and renewable energy technologies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities, capable of engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices in solar and storage.
