About the Role

‍

We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Pre-Construction Engineering to lead and oversee the engineering aspects of our pre-construction phase. This role is critical in ensuring that our renewable energy projects, including utility-scale solar and BESS, are meticulously planned and prepared for successful execution. You will manage a team of engineers and collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet all technical, regulatory, and financial requirements.

Qualifications for the Position

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in pre-construction engineering, with a strong focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and utility-scale solar projects.
• Proven expertise in the design, planning, and execution of large-scale renewable energy projects.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices for solar and energy storage systems.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• Lead the pre-construction engineering team to ensure timely and accurate project planning and design.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies and processes to optimize project outcomes.
• Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and external consultants to integrate engineering solutions into project plans.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Manage and mitigate engineering risks, providing solutions to overcome technical challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the engineering team.
• Report on project progress and engineering performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
